Kyle Robbins to Kick Off 2009 Season with USAC

As we begin to get back in the swing of things in this 2009 season, there isn’t any other place I would rather be than in Indiana for the start of Sprint car racing. As the off season was filled with some great trips and good times, I have never been more excited to get back behind the wheel of a race car. Some big changes took place around KRR in the off season, the biggest one being the family team teaming up with Bryan Clauson Racing. Last year I was able to work a little bit with Tim, Big Al, Bryan and AJ at BCI. I had a great time being able to work with them and also learn a thing or two. I am really looking forward to this 2009 season; I feel like I have the best car and equipment that I have ever had. It was really cool this winter to work with Big Al and AJ while building the car to pick up little things here and there, and also to work with Tim and Bryan with the driving side of things. This weekend I will be at Gas City and Lawrenceburg for a big USAC weekend competing with the best in the business when it comes to sprint car racing. I am sure 2009 will be filled with its ups and downs, but the greatest thing is I am back to having fun at the race track and that’s the greatest feeling in the world. If you’re at the races this weekend swing by the 17R trailer and pick up a hero card or even a t-shirt. Check back next week for a review on how the weekend went.

With 60 cars in the pits, Bloomington Speedways KISS show would prove to be one of the toughest fields to crack in 2008.  Starting tenth Kyle drove to a top five halfway through and looked poised to take a ticket directly to the show. With 3 laps remaining while battling for 4th contact dropped Kyle to 8th at the checkers.
